  • , -- The University of will again host a series of summer soccer camps at Gettler Stadium beginning on June 25. The will feature the instruction of members of the Bearcat men's and women's coaching staffs, along with former professional players and current college standouts.

    The Academy begins with its Mini Camp on June 25-29 for boys and girls grades K-4. The camp runs from 9 a.m. until noon. The Full Day Camp runs concurrently for boys and girls grades 4-10 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Campers will learn basic fundamentals with a focus on skill development and fun. The campers will show off their newly formed skills in daily games.

    The Residential Advanced Camp will take place on July 8-12 and is open to boys and girls grades 7-12. This camp is offered to the soccer player thinking of playing college soccer and looking to improve his or her game. Technical and tactical aspects of the game are identified and developed through discussions, college and professional player demonstrations, coaching sessions, small-sided games, and full field competition. Currently both the UC men's and women's soccer programs have players who attended the advanced camp.

    The Team Camp is set for July 13-15 for boys and girls grades 7-12. The offers a session exclusively for team training. This camp is devoted solely to training high school teams utilizing methods found successful at the . A fun but competitive environment helps teams to further come together and play with more cohesion.
