HUNTINGTON, W.Va.--Rachel Owens dominated her opponent in the No. 2 singles match, 6-0 and 6-0 to take her team-leading 17th win of the season to lead the University of Cincinnati's 5-2 victory over Pittsburgh (10-4, 3-3 BIG EAST). Owens was one of four UC individuals to triumph and helped sweep the doubles competition.

Cincinnati's (10-5, 4-3 BIG EAST) Owens and doubles partner Jenny Rowen defeated Annie Davies and Christie D'achille 8-3 in the second doubles match. Hannah Hinton and Elizabeth Young needed a 9-7 tiebreaker decision to top Kristy Borza and Sabrina Visram in the top doubles contest. The duo of Valeriya Dandik and Alizee Paradis won the third doubles match 8-3.

Rowen outlasted Visram 7-6 after a 7-2 tiebreaker in the first set and finished with a 6-2 win. Dandik beat Davies 6-2, 6-4 in the fourth pairing.

Paradis made a valiant fight, but fell to D'achille 7-6 (15-13) and 6-2. Young beat Anna Broverman 6-1, 6-2.

The Bearcats return to the Huntington Tennis Club to face host the ITA/Fila Rankings' No. 60 Marshall at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
