CINCINNATI - Senior guard Treasure Humphries (Canton, Ohio/McKinley HS), much like she has done all season, stole the show, nabbing four team honors at the University of Cincinnati women's basketball postseason awards banquet at the Faculty Club of the Richard E. Lindner Center Tuesday.

Humphries, who led the Bearcats in scoring (11.5) and reached the 1000-point plateau this season, was the recipient of the Best Offensive Player Award. She also took home the Most Steals Award, leading UC with 64 and finishing fourth in the BIG EAST with 2.21 per game. Her 193 career steals were seventh best all-time in UC's record book. Humphries was honored with the Ball of Courage Award for her hustle and heart on the court. Finally, Humphries was named the Bearcats' co-Most Outstanding Player.

She shared the honor for Most Outstanding Player with freshman point guard Carla Jacobs (Cleveland, Ohio/Regina HS). Jacobs played a team-high 30.5 minutes per game. She was named to the BIG EAST Freshman Team after averaging 8.4 points and 4.36 assists. Jacobs paced UC with 122 assists, earning her the Bearcats' Most Assists Award. She was sixth in the BIG EAST in the category and was third in the conference in assist/turnover ratio at 2.03, which was 25th in the nation. Jacobs also garnered UC's award for Best Defensive Player. She had 42 steals this season.

Senior Karen Twehues (Minusio, Switz./Tipp City HS) racked up two honors. The three-point shooting specialist earned UC's Best 3-Point Percentage Award. She shot 36 percent this season to lead the Bearcats, marking the third time in her four-year career she had led UC in the category. Twehues also earned the Bearcat Award for her excellence in academics, athletics and community service.

Sophomore post player Jill Stephens (Mineral Wells, W.Va./Parkersburg South HS) was the recipient of the Team Academic Award. She was named the department of athletics top female scholar-athlete of the fall quarter after earning a 4.0 grade point average, plus was named to the Topcat Honor Roll.

Junior Emy Ogide (Rockmart, Ga./Paulding County HS) was named the Most Improved Post Player. Ogide, tabbed the most improved player coming into the 2006-07 season, averaged 6.4 points, almost tripling her career average of 2.2 points.

Shelly Bellman (Ottawa, Ohio/Ottawa-Glandorf HS), the recipient of the Most Rebounds Award, grabbed 6.6 a game. It's the second consecutive season the sophomore guard has led the Bearcats in the category. Sophomore guard Angel Morgan (Springfield, Ohio/Springfield North HS) was named UC's Most Improved Defensive Player. Morgan was second on the team in defensive rebounds with 114, grabbing 85 more than she did her rookie season. She also had 22 steals this season, compared to just six last year.

Freshman Natasha Graboski (Upper Sandusky, Ohio/Upper Sandusky HS) was the honoree for the Newcomer Award. Freshman Stephanie Stevens (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington Central HS) garnered the Most Improved Guard Award. She dished out a career-high five assists in the Bearcats' final game of the season vs. Pittsburgh in the first round of the BIG EAST Championship.

The Bearcats posted an overall record of 15-14 in 2006-07.
