Hot Reads with Doug Jones:

When did you decide to become a football player?
I started playing when I was four years old. I loved it. I had the ability to play in high school and the chance to play in college, so I went for it.

What is your favorite part of football?
It would have to be catching the football. In high school I was a tight end. At UC the coaches initially made me a fullback, but now I am back at tight end where I can get the ball thrown to me.

What is your favorite position that you have never gotten to play?
I would love to play defensive end. I think it would be fun to go after the quarterback.

What is your favorite sport to watch?
I enjoy watching baseball. My favorite Cincinnati Red is Adam Dunn.

Favorite place on campus?
CBA (College of Business Administration). I am a College of Business major. To me, it's a great environment to be around.

What do like to do with your spare time?
I enjoy hanging out with my fiancée, Sara, and my dog. It's a Yorki-Poo (hybrid).

Where do you want to see yourself in 10 years?
I want to be a part of a major financial corporation. I have a couple of interviews lined up for the future, so hopefully that is where I will be.

What is one word your teammates would use to describe you?
Determined.
