ZIONSVILLE, Ind.---Blake Tucker shot a final round 81 to place 13th at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate, which concluded on Monday at the Wolf Run Golf Club, just outside of Indianapolis. Playing as an individual, Tucker tallied his second-best tournament finish of the season.
Playing in windy conditions for the second straight day, the Bearcats finished seventh in the team standings with a final tally of 659. Akron ran away with team title, topping Miami (Ohio) by 18 shots. UC finished just four shots behind sixth place Ball State.
Sophomore Albert Fernandez and junior Alex Wenzel also finished inside the top-25, scoring finishes of 22nd and 24th, respectively. Fernandez shot a round of 83 in the finale, while Wenzel duplicated his opening round score of 82.
The Bearcats will wrap up their season at the 2007 BIG EAST Championships, April 22-24. The championship will be held at the Cardinal Club in Louisville, Ky.
