CINCINNATI, Ohio--The University of Cincinnati football team started its fourth and final week of practice this spring with the quarterbacks showing their wares for Head Coach Brian Kelly.

"We continue to improve," said Kelly. "Today the quarterbacks used what they have learned in the classroom into what they see on the field. We are trying to make the bridge from when you see it to when you can actually execute it on the field."

The quarterbacks dealt with a bevy of blitzes from the Bearcat defense. The focus was to find the open receiver and move to different plays.

"I thought today the quarterbacks learned how to protect ourselves," Kelly added. "When you can protect yourself, you want pressure as a quarterback, because you can make big plays.

With three workouts remaining the Bearcats continue to make strides on offense. With a wealth of young talent, the group continues to learn and grow each day.

Cincinnati wraps up its Spring Football exercises on April 21 with the first Bearcat Bowl. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Nippert Stadium.
