CINCINNATI, Ohio - Junior guard Timmy Crowell (Albuquerque, NM) announced today that he will transfer from the University of Cincinnati to another school at the conclusion of the spring quarter.
"I have decided to transfer to a Division II school for my senior season," said Crowell. "I had a great experience as a Bearcat and love my teammates. I wish the team great success next year and want to thank the people of Cincinnati for their kindness; I have really loved my time here."
Crowell played in 30 games for UC this past season, averaging 1.5 points in just less than 10 minutes of action per night. He scored a season-high seven points versus High Point on Nov. 12 in a 63-51 win.
"We appreciate Timmy's effort this past season as a Bearcat," said head coach Mick Cronin. "His decision to transfer to a place where he can play more and enjoy his senior year is very understandable. We all wish him the best and he will always be a part of our family."
The Bearcats finished the 2006-07 season with a mark of 11-19.
