TAMPA, Fla.-- The University of Cincinnati tennis team fell to Seton Hall by a score of 4-2 in the consolation round of the Women's BIG EAST Tennis Tournament. UC's doubles gave the squad the first point of the night, but Rachel Owens was the only singles player able to find victory on the campus of USF.

Cincinnati's (11-10) doubles team of Jenny Rowen and Rachel Owens and duo of Valeriya Dandik and Alizee Paradis swept Seton Hall to earn the doubles point. Rowen and Owens defeated SHU's Iva Gyergina and Amanda El-Tobgy 8-6 while Dandik and Paradis beat SHU's Danielle Viola and Ebru Burduroglu 8-2. The third match between UC's Hanna Hinton and Elizabeth Young and SHU's Sylvia Jaros and Nadja Sein did not finish.

Seton Hall's Sylvia Jaros beat Jenny Rowen of UC in three sets (6-3, 7-5, 6-1) in the deciding match, giving SHU the 4-2 win. Danielle Viola, Ebru Burduroglu and Iva Gyergina earned the three other points in their individual matches over UC's Hinton, Paradis and Young. Cincinnati earned its second point when Owens defeated Amanda El-Tobgy in three sets. One match did not finish.
