CINCINNATI, Ohio---Michael Earley, a freshman member of the University of Cincinnati baseball team, has left the team for personal reasons and will transfer to another institution at the end of the Spring Quarter.
"Given Michael's decision to leave our program, I felt it was important that he do so immediately," UC head coach Brian Cleary said. "I appreciate his contributions to our team this season and wish him the best in the future."
During the 2007 season, Earley (Anderson, Ind./Anderson) appeared in 33 games, drawing 30 starts between third base and designated hitter. He batted .320 with six doubles, five home runs and 15 RBI.
