-- Hey Ladies! Want to impress your friends with some football knowledge? The second annual 's Football 101 is your chance to increase your football intelligence, mingle with UC coaches and their wives and support a great cause.
The clinic, presented by Panera Bread and Trauth Dairy and hosted by Paqui Kelly, wife of head coach Brian Kelly, and Jeni Thomas, wife of Director of Athletics Mike Thomas, will take place on Wednesday, July 25th, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. at the and Nippert Stadium. Proceeds from the event will benefit the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
"It's exciting to host an event like this for women," Paqui Kelly said. "We should have a great group ready to learn more about football. The proceeds are going to benefit a great cause as well."
Members of the UC coaching staff will be on hand to lead sessions on offense, defense and special teams. The evening will include happy hour, hors d'oeuvres, prizes and more. Facility tours will be available and the UC Pride Shop will be open.
Registration in $40 per person and includes a complimentary gift pack. Regsitration forms can be obtained here and must be returned by July 18. Walk-up registration is $50 per person. For more information, contact the UC Marketing Department at 556-0838.
