Tournament Information

CINCINNATI, Ohio--For the second consecutive summer, University of Cincinnati senior golfer Allison Mayborg will have the opportunity to play in a premier event as she has been awarded the local amateur exemption for this weekend's Duramed FUTURES Tour event in Cincinnati. The inaugural tour stop in the Queen City will take place at the Stonelick Hills Golf Club in Batavia.

Last summer, Mayborg (Monroe, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) took part in the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links, the same tournament teammate Hillery Wilson competed in this week. She finished the 2006-07 season ranked third on the Bearcats with an 80.8 scoring average. Mayborg achieved a pair of career firsts during the season, earning All-BIG EAST honors on the strength of a ninth place finish at the league championship and winning her first collegiate tour, the Cross River Shootout.

This weekend's tournament marks the first time the "Road to the LPGA" tour will sanction an event in Cincinnati. The purse for the event is $100,000, marking one of the top prizes on the tour. The 54-hole, three-day tournament kicks off on Friday. Tickets are priced at $5/person, while parking is free.
