OSAKA, Japan - Former University of Cincinnati all-American David Payne moved into the finals of the 110 hurdles at the 2007 IAAF World Championships on Thursday (Aug. 30).

Payne ran a 13.19 to win his heat and post the top semi-final mark. He ran a personal-record 13.12 earlier this season and held the top mark in the world for a few weeks.

Another former Bearcat, Mary Wineberg, was a finalist in the 400 meters. She finished eighth at the finals on Wednesday.

Payne will compete with the best in the world Friday at 11:20 a.m. ET.
