ROCHESTER, Mich. - The University of Cincinnati women's soccer team was unable to carry the momentum from its 4-3 win against Dayton earlier this week into its Friday afternoon (Sept. 14) matchup at Oakland, falling 1-0 at the OU Soccer Field. UC falls to 2-2-1 on the season, while Oakland improves to 2-3-0.

Oakland tallied the lone goal in the 39th minute when Jessica Boyle scored on an assist from Jamie Hulet.

The Bearcats scored four goals on Tuesday night in a 4-3 win against Dayton, the highest goal output since 2001. They were shut out for the second time this season against the Grizzlies.

Sophomore goalkeeper Andrea Kaminski (Noblesville, IN/Noblesville) made four saves for UC. The tandem of Kim Herbst and Elizabeth Watza combined for five saves for the home team.

UC now heads to Dayton, Ohio, to take on defending Horizon League champs Wright State on Sept. 16. Kickoff between the Bearcats and Raiders is set for 5 p.m.
