CINCINNATI-- After retaining the Victory Bell with a 47-10 triumph over Miami (OH) in the 112th edition of the oldest non-conference rivalry in the nation, the University of Cincinnati football team has once again received votes from the weekly national polls.

Receiving consideration for the first time since the close of the 1997 season, Cincinnati (3-0) has won six games in-a-row, dating back to the Nov. 18, 2006 victory over then-No. 7 Rutgers.

The Bearcats garnered 20 votes in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' poll and 53 votes from the Associated Press voters. Their current six-game win streak is the program's longest since the 1993 campaign.

Cincinnati returns to action this Saturday when they host Marshall at Nippert Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. on ESPN Regional television. The game is also Ring of Honor Night.
