ANN ARBOR, Mich.---Freshman Bambee Dela Paz shot a second round 74 to highlight the University of Cincinnati women's golf team's partcipation in day one of the Wolverine Invitational. With 18 holes remaining, the Bearcats are listed eighth in the team standings.
Dela Paz is leading the way for the Bearcats, ranking tied for 22nd with a two-round score of 155. Senior Hillery Wilson is just one shot behind her teammate in a tie for 27th. Wilson carded rounds of 80 and 76 on Saturday.
As a team, Cincinnati totaled rounds of 315 and 314 for a two-round total of 629. UC is 10 shots behind seventh place Tulsa. Host Michigan holds a two-shot lead at the top of the leaderboard with a score of 598. On the individual leaderboard, Eastern Michigan's Stephany Fleet holds a three shot lead over a trio of golfers with a score of 145.
Play continues on Sunday with a shotgun start to the final round kicking off at 8:30 a.m.
