ANN ARBOR, Mich.---Senior Hillery Wilson shot a team-best round of 75, helping the University of Cincinnati women's golf team hold onto eighth place in the final standings at the Wolverine Invitational. Play wrapped up at the University of Michigan Golf Course on Sunday, with Notre Dame overcoming a round two, two-shot deficit to take the tournament victory by four over the host Wolverines.
Wilson ended the tournament in a tie for 15th with a score of 231. She missed a Top-10 finish by only three shots. Despite shooting a 77 on Sunday, Eastern Michigan's Stephany Fleet still won the individual medalist award by two shots.
Freshmen Bambee Dela Paz and Kate Moore both finished in the Top-35 for Cincinnati. Dela Paz's final round 83 pushed her to 32nd in the standings, while Moore shot an 80 to end up tied for 35th.
The Bearcats are back in action next weekend (Oct. 6-7) traveling to Iowa City, Iowa for the Hawkeye Invitational.
