WEST CHESTER, OH -- The University of Cincinnati men's and women's cross country teams captured Queen City Invitational titles on Saturday (Sept. 7) afternoon at Voice of America Park.
Junior Randy King (North Bend, OH/St. Xavier) was the men's individual champion, crossing the finish line in 15:28.61. Brad Neumann (Cincinnati, OH/Sycamore) finished third and Tommy Morgan (Maineville, OH/Kings) was sixth, leading the Bearcats to their seventh straight Queen City title.
The women were led by freshman Jill Glassmeyer (Cincinnati, OH/McAuley), who finished second in 18:26.05. Lilian Jelimo (Kapsabet, Kenya/Kapsabet Girls) (fourth), Megan Knapp (Shelby, OH/Shelby) (seventh), and Jennifer Hannen (Beavercreek, OH/Beavercreek) (10th) each finished in the top 10 for UC.
The meet, which will alternate hosts between UC, Xavier and Northern Kentucky, was hosted by Xavier this season. Laura Neufarth of Miami (OH) was the individual champ.
The Bearcats head to the Harry Groves Spiked Show Invitational, hosted by Penn State, on Sept. 29.
