CINCINNATI-- The excitement of the ESPN Gridiron Blowout Tour has been added to an already jam packed schedule of the pregame festivities for the University of Cincinnati's Homecoming game against Louisville on Oct. 13. The ESPN Gridiron Blowout Tour is set to open on Sigma Sigma Commons at 2 p.m., prior to the 7 p.m. kickoff.
Sponsored by Nissan, the ESPN Gridiron Blowout Tour brings a number of interactive activities and an opportunity to win a trip to the Heisman Trophy Presentation. An estimated 1,000,000 fans will attend the tour locations across the country this season.
The 10-city ESPN Gridiron Blowout Tour visits college football marquee match-ups where fans can watch ESPN college football coverage in the Nissan Lounge, a viewing space equipped with comfortable couches and flat screen televisions. Fans also get to play games and even get the chance to win an all-expense paid trip for two to the Heisman Trophy presentation.
As sole presenting sponsor of the Heisman Trophy, Nissan invites fans to log on www.theheismanvote.com where they can cast their vote for their favorite college football stars. Computer voting kiosks also will be displayed at the ESPN Gridiron Blowout Tour so fans can easily access the site at tour stops.
One of many pre-game events planned for Homecoming, the official Bearcat pregame party, Cattitude at Varsity Village, opens at 4:30 p.m. Cattitude takes place at Schott Stadium while the Bearcat Family Zone is hosted on Sheakley Lawn. Both activities close promptly at 6:30 p.m.
Another piece of the pre-game pageantry, fans are encouraged to catch the Bearcat Band's pep rally on Sheakley Lawn at 6 p.m. Bearcats fans are encouraged to arrive early. Check www.GoBEARCATS.com for more information.
