CINCINNATI, OH -- In response to public demand, the University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics will be extending the opportunity to reserve a postseason bowl ticket to non-season ticket holders, beginning Monday, October 8, exclusively online via www.CATSTIX.com at 8 a.m.
For a $50 non-refundable deposit, fans may reserve a postseason ticket for the upcoming bowl season. If the cost of the eventual bowl ticket is more than $50, the patron will be billed for the difference once the pricing is dictated by UC's bowl selection.
2007-08 Bowl Selections will be officially announced on Sunday, December 2 on ESPN.
"As we continue to build our program, it is critical that our fans travel and support the Bearcats" says head coach Brian Kelly. "With 5,234 bowl reservations already in hand via our preseason bowl ticket sales initiative, the Cincinnati Bearcats will be carrying a lot of clout with bowl representatives. We are ahead of the game and with this additional opportunity in front of our fans we can take this number higher and let everyone know that the Bearcat Nation is on the rise and is a force to be taken seriously."
In addition to the Bowl Championship Series, the BIG EAST Conference has agreements with a number of other postseason bowl games (2007-08 Bowl Schedule).
Priority assignment for all bowl tickets will be made by following UCATS membership & associated point totals and by the date of placement on the waiting list for tickets for non-UCATS members.
