SOUTHERN PINES, N.C.--- Hillery Wilson and Bambee Dela Paz both posted their best finishes of the fall season, helping the University of Cincinnati women's golf team to a third place finish at the Ross Resorts Invitational. The finish, UC's best of the year thus far, came in the Bearcats' fall season finale.
Wilson shot a final round 76 to secure fourth place, the same spot she held after 36 holes. A senior and UC's number one player, Wilson completed the tournament with a score of 228, just four shots off the winning pace set by Rollins' Joanna Coe.
Dela Paz earned the first Top 10 finish of her short career, placing sixth after a final round 76. Dela Paz finished the tournament just two shots behind Wilson and one out of the Top 5.
In the team standings, the Bearcats weren't able to make up any ground as they took third place with a score of 934. Host Rollins College won by eight shots over Augusta State.
Cincinnati is now idle until Feb. 24-26 when it competes in the Cuthbert Cup in Kiawah Island, S.C.
