CINCINNATI--The University of Cincinnati lacrosse team will be trading in their tradtional white home uniforms for pink jerseys for its first "Breast Cancer Awareness Game" to be held on March 30, 2008 against Syracuse.

"Breast cancer has affected all of us at the University of Cincinnati, through family and loved ones," stated head coach Lellie Swords. "We are happy to do something to build awareness and support the fight for a cure against breast cancer."

In support of the effort to raise awareness and funds for cancer research, the Bearcats lacrosse team is donning pink uniforms. For the March 30 game, head coach Lellie Swords and her staff will also be wearing pink to show their support.

The University of Cincinnati will officially begin its first season of varsity lacrosse on Feb. 17, 2008 when they travel to Nashville, Tenn. to face Vanderbilt at 2 p.m.
