Pittsburgh, PA- The University of Cincinnati dropped their second consecutive BIG EAST dual falling to Pittsburgh on Saturday (Nov. 3). The men lost by a 146-89 margin, while the women fell by a score of 140-89.
For the men, Josh Schneider (Cincinnati, OH/Taylor) collected two event titles in the 50 and 100 meter freestyle. In the 50, Schneider posted a time of 21.20 and 46.63 in the 100. Also scoring event wins were Patryk Wakula (Reptwosha, Poland/Somsit) capturing the 200 meter butterfly in a time of 1:53.41 and Nathan Williams (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) winning the 500 yard freestyle in 4:38.27.
The women were led again by the diving trio of Lindsay Bakan (Miamisburg, OH/Alter), Kirtley Krombholtz (Cincinnati, OH/Indian Hill) and Maggie Eubanks ( Florence, KY/Notre Dame Academy) swept one meter event. Underclassmen Abi Bower (Pickerington, OH/Pickerington North) and Melody Smith (Williamsburgh, OH/Milford) each were event winners in the 200 yard breaststroke and 500 yard freestyle respectively.
Cincinnati's next contest will be a home dual against Washington on Nov. 10 at 10 a.m.
