I wanted to drop you a note to thank you for your great support of our football team this season. With you in the stands helping make Nippert Stadium a competitive advantage for our team, the Bearcats have proven to be a tough team to tame.
This season we have enjoyed great crowds at Nippert Stadium. Our team is looking forward to seeing you back in the stands over the next two weekends as a pair of nationally ranked teams come to town in UConn and .
Along with our membership in the BIG EAST Conference comes inclusion in the most elite of groups in all of college athletics - the BOWL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES (BCS Title Game, Sugar, Orange, Rose, Fiesta) along with associations with five other great bowl games (Gator, Sun, Meineke Car Care, PapaJohns.com, and International).
As you know, each reserved 2007 UC football season ticket included a $50 bowl credit. In addition, other fans have had the chance to purchase a bowl ticket credit over the last few weeks. Postseason bowl seating will be assigned based on UCATS points, followed by the order in which non-season ticket holders signed up for deposits. All season ticket holder orders will be placed before any non-season ticket holders.
I want to thank you for your advance purchase of a UC Football Bowl Ticket Credit. Our administration is armed with more than 5,400 bowl credits to impress bowl scouts over the next month. This sales total is unprecedented in the history of Bearcat football and will be one of many great examples to the bowl committees that the is a team to be reckoned with on the field and in the stands.
Your credit will be applied toward your purchase of a bowl ticket beginning on December 3. Pricing for each bowl is different, so the ticket to the bowl we are selected to may be $50 or it could be more. The official UC bowl section ticket prices will not be announced until the evening of December 2 so be on the lookout for complete pricing and travel information on www.GoBEARCATS.com and the .
I cannot emphasize how important it is for our fans to hit the road with the Bearcats to the bowl game. All of us want a championship program here at UC and having a big crowd at the bowl is a major plus that we can showcase during recruiting. The more games we win and the more tickets we sell in advance all factor into the bowl selection decision and play a major role in setting our reputation as a football program.
