CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati swimming and diving teams fell to Pac-10 foe Washington in a non-conference dual on Saturday (Nov. 10). The men dropped a 159-103 decision, while the women fell by the score of 155-79.

For the men, sophomore Jeremy Peter (Obernai,France/Lycee Freppel) led UC with two event titles in the 100 and 200 meter breaststroke along with a strong performance in the 200 meter Medley Relay. Also freshmen Nathan Williams (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) and Patryk Wakula (Zabre,Poland/Somsit) each won individual titles on the day. Williams took home the 400 meter freestyle with a time of 4:15.86; Wakula finished the 100 meter butterfly in a time of 57.83. Notching his fourth event of the season, Josh Schneider (Cincinnati,OH/Taylor) placed first in the 50 meter freestyle touching the wall in 24.08 seconds.

In the defeat, sophomore Elinore de Jong (Bussum,Netherlands/Goois Lyceum) won UC's only event, in the 100 meter Butterfly with a time of 1:05.63, de Jong narrowly missed out on winning the 100 meter freestyle by one second falling to UW's Emilee Jenkins.

Washington freshman Ari Kukors' time of 2:35.88 in the 200 meter breaststroke qualified her for Olympic trials. She finished under the 2:35.99 Olympic mark and also qualifed for the NCAA 'B' mark of 2:37.42.

Cincinnati's next meet will be the weekend of Nov. 16-18 at the Indiana Invitational.
