- The of women's tennis team completed a sweep of its opening weekend, knocking off , 6-1, this evening at the Queen City Racquet Club in .
For the second day in a row, the Bearcats opened up by collecting the point for doubles play, taking two of the three matches. The pairs of Alizee Paradis/Jenny Rowen (8-2) and Elizabeth Young/Jennifer Keiner (8-1) picked up the wins for UC.
In the singles matches, won the first five matches and wrapped up the overall win. Keiner and Paradis each claimed their singles matches in the No. 1 and No. 2 slots, respectively, each winning 6-3, 6-1.
The Bearcats are off now until Jan. 25-26 when they open play in the BIG EAST in , , taking on the and .
