Bearcats Take Second Place at Nationals

ORLANDO, FL - The University of Cincinnati dance team finished second in the hip-hop division of the 2008 College Cheerleading and Dance National Championships at Walt Disney World on Sunday, Jan. 20.

The dance team also grabbed a fifth-place finish in the jazz competition. 

UC's all-girl cheerleading squad finished eighth, while the co-ed cheer group was 16th in the country.

The Bearcats have now placed first or second in the hip-hop category in each of the five seasons that the class has been in existence.

UC's cheerleaders and dance teams will continue to be in action at all men's and women's home basketball games for the balance of the 2007-08 season.
