Bearcats Praised by Enquirer's Poll

CINCINNATI -The Cincinnati Enquirer's John Erardi wrote about the 12 major college or professional franchises in the region, including UC men's basketball. A total of 1,094 surveys were taken and results ranked UC men's basketball among the top teams that consistently generate a great product.

Of the nearly 1,100 questioned online, almost 40 percent noted the Bearcats' men's basketball program was better than it was a few years ago, and optimism increases dramatically for the future.

Looking into the crystal ball for future results, 44 percent of those surveyed were very optimistic for the 2008-09 season. Even higher, 68 percent of those questioned forecast the Bearcats to have a successful long-term future.
