CINCINNATI - For the second week in a row, senior forward John Williamson (Columbus, OH/Marion Franklin) was named to the BIG EAST Conference's Honor Roll for the Week of Feb. 11-17. This is the fourth time this season a UC basketball player has earned an all-league honor.
Williamson led the UC to a 60-43 victory over St. John's this past Wednesday, putting up a season-high 25 points and hauling in 11 rebounds. He shot 11-of-18 (.611) from the field, while adding a pair of blocks.
The team's leading rebounder and the second-leading scorer, Williamson averages 10.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Williamson has averaged 24.5 points in Cincinnati's last two wins, evening the Bearcats' season record at 12-12 overall and lifting them to a sixth-place tie in the BIG EAST at 7-5.
The Bearcats close out a brief two-game home stand at Fifth Third Arena on Wednesday, Feb. 20 with a 7 p.m. tip-off vs. USF
