East Meadow, N.Y. - Sophomores Jeremy Peter (Obernai, France/Lycee Freppel) and Josh Schneider (Cincinnati, OH/Taylor) stole the show on day two of the BIG EAST Championship. Williams started the day for the Bearcats placing third in the 500 yard freestyle. His time of 4:28.78 knocked three seconds off of his preliminary time. The mark is also a season best for Williams, bettering the time he set at the Miami Invitational.
The tandem of Peter and junior Jakub Carda (Brno, Czech Republic/Sportovni Gymnasium) in the 200 IM, netted UC 31 points in the event. Peter won in a time of 1:48.37, while Carda finished eighth touching the wall in 1:51.95.

His mark of 19.85 earlier in the day broke Cincinnati's school record in the event, breaking Blake Layda's mark of 19.91 set in 1998. This is the second straight year that a school record has been broken in the conference championship.
