CINCINNATI, Ohio - The University of Cincinnati tennis team lost a 5-2 decision to Eastern Kentucky University Saturday evening at the Queen City Racquet and Fitness Club. The loss evened the Bearcats weekend record at 1-1 after last evening's 7-0 victory over .

The Colonels swept the doubles matches against UC, winning 8-3, 8-3, and 8-2 to earn the opening point of the match.

The Bearcats looked to rally in the singles matches with victories by No. 1 player Alizee Paradis (4-6, 7-5, 6-4) and No. 5 Valeriya Dandik (6-1, 6-2). The rally was ended as EKU took the remaining flights, defeating Jennifer Keiner (3-6, 6-3, 6-1), Elizabeth Young (6-1, 6-7 (7-3), 6-1), Jennifer Rowen (6-4, 3-6, 6-4), and Abigail Mayo (6-1, 6-1).

The weekend split leaves at 4-9 on the year. The Bearcats are on the road the next two weekends before returning home March 30 vs. .
