BALTIMORE - Jamie Desautels (Westminster, MD/Westminster), Allison Bell (Cincinnati, OH/Sycamore) and Lynsey Burton (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown West) each scored goals, but the University of Cincinnati dropped its fourth straight, 19-3, against No. 15/17 Johns Hopkins at Homewood Field on Thursday (March 27) evening.

JHU (4-4) got on the board first just 34 seconds into the game when Lauren Schwarzmann scored off a feed from Brett Bathras. Desautels knotted the score at one goal apiece at the 4:23 mark on a Lindsey Marshall (Hilliard, OH/Hilliard Davidson) assist.

After a pair of Hopkins goals, Bell brought the Bearcats (1-7) back within one, 3-2, with her second goal of the season at the 9:28 mark.

That was as close as UC would get, as the Blue Jays scored the next nine goals to take a 12-2 halftime lead.

Burton opened the second half with her 11th goal of the year, second on the squad behind Marshall's 12, to cut the lead to 12-3.

Hopkins scored the final seven goals of the game to pull away.

Paige Ibello scored a career-high five goals for JHU, while Kim Dubansky scored four and Schwarzmann scored a pair of goals and added two assists.

The Blue Jays totaled 38 shots to UC's nine, while Hopkins controlled 16 of 24 draws in the contest.

The Bearcats return to Nippert Stadium for a March 30 tilt with No. 6/5 Syracuse at 1 p.m. The Syracuse game will be Breast Cancer Awareness day, as the Bearcats will be wearing special pink jerseys in honor of breast cancer awareness and research. The Susan G. Komen Foundation will be at the game collecting donations and the team will hold a free clinic after the game.
