CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team knocked off area rival Wright State University today, 6-1, at the Queen City Racquet and Fitness Club in Sharonville.
The Bearcats swept the double matches with strong performances by each pair. It is the second time in three matches, UC has taken all three doubles contests.
In singles play, UC won five of the six matches, winning the No. 2 through No. 5 flights. In the loss at No. 1, Alizee Paradis was barely defeated, losing in a third-set rally, 6-1, 4-6, 7-6 (10-5). This was the second straight win for Jennifer Keiner, Valeriya Dandik and Jennifer Rowen at the No. 2, 4, and No. 5 singles, respectively.
Cincinnati (5-11, 1-6 BIG EAST) takes tomorrow off before playing Boston University Sunday, March 30 at Noon.
