CINCINNATI -- In their first workout since Saturday's 50-play scrimmage at Nippert Stadium, the University of Cincinnati football team and head coach Brian Kelly returned to spring practice on Tuesday under sunny skies and nearly 70 degrees.

Heading into his 19th season as a head coach Kelly said, "We are making progress on the offensive line. We are way ahead of where we were last year at this time. We need to continue to develop more depth up front."

Having two days to pore over the tape of Saturday's full-contact scrimmage, Kelly pointed to two standouts.

"Torry Cornett is in a position where he can attack defensively," stated Kelly. "After careful evaulation, we knew we needed to move Adrien Robinson from wide receiver to tight end. We made that move today."

Cornett recorded 10 tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss as a reserve defensive end and special teams member in 2007. Robinson sat out last season as a redshirt.

One-third of the way throught spring drills, the Bearcats are back at Nippert Stadium tomorrow morning for their sixth scheduled session of the nontraditional season. Practice gets underway at 9 a.m.
