CINCINNATI -- For the first time, the University of Cincinnati's annual spring football game will be televised. The Ohio News Network (ONN) will air Bearcat Bowl II statewide live on April 26, through its network of cable carriers.

The voice of GoBEARCATS.com, Tom Gelehrter is set to make the play-by-play call and long-time UC radio analyst Jim Kelly, Jr., will be providing color commentary for UC's spring showcase event. Kickoff for the second annual Bearcat Bowl is 7 p.m.

Bearcat Bowl II is the culmination of Cincinnati's 15 permissible spring workouts by the NCAA. UC has evenly divided its 92 players into two teams for the intrasquad contest. Bearcat Bowl II, is scheduled to be a 60-minute football game.

UC returns 16 starters and 44 letterwinners from the 2007 squad that proved to be one of the most successful in the history of UC football. Cincinnati earned its first appearance in the final Associated Press Poll finishing the year at No. 17 after winning 10 games for the first time since 1951 and capping the year with a 31-21 victory in the Papajohns.com Bowl.
