CINCINNATI - Members of the University of Cincinnati men's soccer team and their coaching staff stepped off the field and into the kitchen to cook a meal for children and their families at the Ronald McDonald House on May 1.

The Bearcat student-athletes and coaches made tacos and baked chocolate chip cookies for the families at the house, located just west of the Cincinnati Zoo on Erkenbrecher Drive.

"This was a great opportunity for our team to interact with families who are facing challenging times," said assistant coach Jared Micklos . "We look forward to continuing to build our relationship with the Ronald McDonald House and servicing the community."

Ronald McDonald House Charities offers support for families of children who are being treated at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and other local medical centers, providing a place for families to sleep, eat and meet others facing similar circumstances. The Ronald McDonald House is supported by local businesses, McDonald's restaurant owners and operators, and a large base of volunteers.
