CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's soccer team closed out their 2008 spring campaign with a 2-0 victory over the Alumni on Saturday (May 17).
The Bearcats jumped on the Alumni early as Kendall Loggins (Naperville, Ill./Naperville North) scored off of an pass by Erin MacDonald (St. Catharine's, Ont./West Park Secondary) in the 13th minute of play, the goal would prove to be the eventual game-winner.
MacDonald would go on to tally an unassisted goal in the 44th minute of play to push the score to 2-0.
Head coach Michelle Salmon on the playing against the former student-athletes, "It's always nice welcoming the Alumni back, it's a great opportunity for our current players to mingle with the past players and our past players to see how far the program has come. It's also a great for me as a first year coach to meet and greet some of the past players that have had a tremendous amount of success here at Cincinnati."
Cincinnati concluded their spring slate with a record of 4-2-0.
