CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati baseball team, which finished as the 2008 BIG EAST Conference runner-up, will gather tomorrow (May 26) in the team's clubhouse at Marge Schott Stadium at 12:30 to watch the NCAA Selection Show on ESPN. The event is open to the public and the media.
The Bearcats are looking to earn an at-large bid and make their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1974. UC is hoping to be selected as one of 34 at-large bids to the tournament. The other 30 spots in the 64-team field go to conference automatic qualifiers.
The Bearcats have won 14 of their last 17 games and just missed claiming the BIG EAST's automatic bid yesterday, losing to Louisville, 6-3, in the conference championship game in Clearwater, Fla.
