AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - Former University of Cincinnati basketball great Jason Maxiell poured in 14 points off the bench for the Detroit Pistons in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals to lead Detroit to a 94-75 victory over the Boston Celtics and even the best-of-seven series at 2-2.
A three-year NBA veteran and 2005 first-round draft pick, Maxiell was a perfect 6-for-6 from the floor in the game and connected on 2-for-3 from the free-throw line. He also added three rebounds.
Maxiell is averaging 5.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists for Detroit in the Playoffs .
This season the Pistons finished second in the Eastern Conference with a 59-23 record, seven games behind the Boston Celtics.
