CINCINNATI---Josh Harrison, the 2008 BIG EAST Co-Player of the Year, has added another award to his list as the University of Cincinnati junior has been tabbed a second team All-American by Collegiate Baseball.
Harrison helped the Bearcats to a record season that included 39 wins, the most ever by a UC team, and a trip to the BIG EAST Championship game. Individually, Harrison hit a team-best .378, while pacing the club with 22 doubles. The second baseman added five home runs, tallied 54 RBI and stole 32 bases. This is the second time in his three-year career that Harrison has been honored by Collegiate Baseball as he was touted a Freshman All-American by the publication in 2006.
With the All-American citation, Harrison becomes the seventh UC player ever to earn the accolades and the first since Kevin Youkilis was named to second and third teams in 2001.
