CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati football team took a break from training to camp Sunday to celebrate Meet The Team Day under sunny skies at King's Island.

The Bearcats paraded down International Street with head coach Brian Kelly addressing the crowd on stage near the famous Eiffel Tower. The UC Pep Band, cheerleaders, dance team and the Bearcat helped lead a pep rally for UC fans in attendance.

UC players and coaches took part in an autograph session with fans and distributed posters, schedule cards and magnets and ticket materials for the upcoming campaign.

Kelly and selected student-athletes also took part in interviews with a crew from FSN Ohio for the upcoming show Inside Bearcats Football 2008, a half-hour preview of the 2008 season scheduled to air on Aug. 20 at 6 p.m. EST.

Following the autograph sessions, student-athletes, coaches and staff enjoyed the rides in the park before returning to the Higher Ground Conference Center Sunday evening.

UC opens the 2008 season on Aug. 28 at 7:30 p.m. against Eastern Kentucky in Nippert Stadium. For tickets and information, call 1-877-CATS-TIX or log on to www.CATSTIX.com.

UC returns to the practice fields at Higher Ground Monday at 9 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. for its third of five two-a-day practice sessions.
