BEIJING - Former Bearcat David Payne won his first-round heat in the 110-meter hurdles at the 2008 Olympic Games on Monday at National Stadium.

Payne posted the sixth-best time in the opening heats, clocking in at 13.42.

Payne, who won bronze at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka, will compete in the second round at approximately 9:10 a.m. ET on Tuesday, Aug. 19.
