CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics and the Student Government Association have collaborated over the last several months and are unveiling a new student ticket policy for the 2008 football season.

The policy for football will be similar to the one used last year as students with a valid UC ID will have the opportunity to pick up one of the 6,000 advance student tickets beginning at 8 a.m. the week before the game.

Additionally, student advance tickets may be obtained at www.CATSTIX.com beginning at 8 a.m. approximately 10 days prior to the game. Again, only one (1) ticket per UC Student ID will be distributed. There will be a $1.50 service charge per ticket reserved online to cover administrative costs.

Online tickets were exhausted in less than 10 minutes for some games last season. To ensure your ability to claim a UC student ticket, it is strongly encouraged that students either plan to be in line on the morning when tickets are released – or – be a part of the game day distribution of 500 UC student tickets at Gate No. 3 on the specific date of the game. Please know that students who use the online method of ticket acquisition are subject to technical issues which may be out of the control of the University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics.

Student Guest Tickets for football are limited to 500 per game, with a limit of two (2) tickets per UC Student ID. These tickets, which are priced at $10 each, are available for advance purchase only.

On game day, a total of 500 student admissions will be allocated via the dedicated turnstiles for student admission at Gate No. 3. Once the capacity of the student section has been admitted, no additional students will be admitted without a ticket. Admission will be given to these students via turnstile only with no re-entry. This gate will open 90 minutes prior to kick-off.

Once tickets are made available, UC students will have up until 72 hours before the game to pick up a ticket. After the 72-hour mark, tickets will be returned to the ticket inventory and sold to the general public. Students can purchase reserved or general admission tickets after the 72-hour mark through the UC Athletics ticket office, as long as seats remain.

Please keep in mind that UC student tickets are non-transferable to non-students. A valid UC ID must be presented to the usher along with the student ticket for admission to the stadium. Any patron trying to use a student ticket for admission without also having a valid UC Student ID will not be admitted to Nippert Stadium.
