Gettler Stadium Selected as Site for 2010 BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships

2009-10 BIG EAST Championship Sites

PROVIDENCE, R.I - For the second time since its entrance into the BIG EAST Conference in 2005, the University of Cincinnati will hold a BIG EAST Conference Championship as UC's Gettler Stadium will be the site for the 2010 BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the conference office announced on Monday, Sept. 17.

The 2010 outdoor track and field championships will be held from April 30, 2010 through May 2, 2010. The only other time that a BIG EAST Championship event has been held on Cincinnati's campus was the 2006 volleyball championships.

UC's Gettler Stadium was one of several new venues selected by the BIG EAST Championship and Competition Committee to host championships for the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons at their annual September meeting.
