Round 1-2 Results

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Joe Kastelic (Newton, N.C./Fred T. Foard) is tied for fifth after 36 holes of the Cardinal Intercollegiate, carrying the University of Cincinnati men's golf team to 11th place after two rounds at the Cardinal Club.

Kastelic fired a first-round 70 and followed that up with a four-under 68 to post a 36-hole total of 138, good for fifth place.

Ryan Cahill (Columbus, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson) and Alberto Fernandez (Gijorn, Spain/La Corolla) followed Kastelic's stellar play with solid two-round totals of 149 and 150, respectively. Cahill shot even par in the first round and posted a second-round 77, good for a 45th-place tie. Fernandez shot 76-74 and is tied for 53rd.

Host Louisville and Denver sit in a first-place tie with two-round totals of 561. Eastern Kentucky is three shots back in third place. The Bearcats posted rounds of 295 and 299 for a total of 594.

The third round is set for Tuesday at the Cardinal Club.
