CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics announced Monday that its Homecoming football game vs. Rutgers University on Saturday, Oct. 11 will kickoff at Noon in a game televised on the BIG EAST Network. The football game can be seen on WKRC-TV (Channel 12) in Cincinnati and WKEF-TV (Channel 22) in Dayton. Following the football game at 4 p.m., 2008 UC Basketball Fan Jam will tip off as head coaches Mick Cronin and Kelley Hall debut their new squads.
The football Bearcats (3-1), winners of two-straight games, face Marshall Friday in a nationally-televised ESPN game. UC, who opens BIG EAST play against the Scarlet Knights, knocked off the University of Akron last Saturday, 17-15, as sophomore Jake Rogers booted a 48-yard field goal for the decisive score. The UC Basketball Fan Jam is free and open to the public and features general admission seating in Fifth Third Arena. The program will feature a fan vs. the women's basketball team three-point shooting contest, special videoboard presentations, a men's team scrimmage, and a team autograph session.
