CINCINNATI - On Sunday, Oct. 5, the University of Cincinnati's volleyball team squares off against BIG EAST conference foe Notre Dame in a nationally-televised contest at 2 p.m. on ESPNU. It is the first time in nearly three years that the Bearcats will host a nationally-televised match. The last broadcast came in 2005 when Cincinnati played Louisville on ESPNU. Sam Gore will handle play-by-play for the match, while Krista Blunk provides the color commentary.
Sunday's match is also SEE YOU IN COURT day and due to head coach Reed Sunahara's Hawaiian background, all fans in attendance are asked to wear something Hawaiian. Cincinnati volleyball T-shirts will be provided to student fans while supplies last and all UC students get in free with their student ID card. For groups of 10 or more, there will be a discounted ticket price of $1 per person. Following the match, the Cincinnati volleyball team will have a meet and greet session with youth volleyball teams from the Cincinnati area.
