First Round Results

LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Freshman Anna Cumtell (Halmstad, Sweden) carded an opening-round 75 to lead the University of Cincinnati women's golf team to a 14th-place first-round finish at Price's Give 'Em Five Invitational, hosted by New Mexico State at the NMSU Golf Course.

Cumtell's 75 puts her in a tie for 19th after 18 holes. Kate Moore (Shepparton, Australia/Goulburn Grammar School) fired a 76 to tie for 29th, while Bambee Dela Paz (Caloocan City, Philipines/Miriam College) shot a 79 to tie for 53rd.

Cincinnati's first-round 311 is one shot better than Hawai'i (312) and one shot behind Texas-El Paso and San Diego State (310). UC-Irvine leads the team competition after an opening-round 293, four shots up on second-place Baylor (297).

The second round is set for a shotgun start on Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. ET.
