TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Competing against one of the finest fields in the country at the Pre-Nationals cross country meet at the LaVern Gibson Championship cross country course, the University of Cincinnati's men's and women's cross country teams finished 25th and 30th, respectively. Sophomore Lilian Jelimo and senior Bill Keckeis earned the top spots for their teams in their respective races.

Keckeis was the first Bearcat to cross the line for the men's team, finishing in 121st place with a time of 25:04.1. Seniors Rick King and Randy King followed with 125th- and 127th-place finishes, respectively, while junior Tommy Morgan and senior Kyle Dragan rounded out the scoring after finishing in 129th place and 159th place.

Jelimo continued her fantastic season with a time of 21:11, which earned her a 35th-place showing. Junior Tamara Masters and senior Megan Knapp registered times of 22:08 and 22:24, respectively, before freshman Alison Leckrone and sophomore Michele McKenney completed the scoring with 205th- and 246th-place finishes.

The men's team finished in 25th place out of 40 teams in the white race, while the women's team finished in 30th place out of 39 teams in the white race.

Both teams have almost two weeks without competition before competing in the BIG EAST Championships on Friday, Oct. 31 in New York, N.Y.
