CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Sophomore Joe Kastelic (Newton, N.C./Fred T. Foard) finished 23rd to pace the University of Cincinnati men's golf team to a 17th-place finish at the F&M Bank Austin Peay Intecollegiate at the Links at Novadell in the final fall outing for the squad.
The Bearcats posted a three-round total of 303-294-312=909, finishing five shots back of Bradley (305-303-296=904).
Kastelic shot 77-70-71=218 to finish tied for 23rd. Alberto Fernandez (Gijon, Spain/La Corolla) placed 54th after firing a 75-73-77=225.
Host Austin Peay won the tournament title by nine shots, posting a 279-272-281=832. The Governors' Erik Barnes was 17 under par to win the individual medal, carding 66-66-67=199, the lowest score in school history.
UC kicks off the spring season on March 1-3 at the Tennessee-Martin Invitational.
