BEARCATS ROUND OUT CONFERENCE PLAY VERSUS RUTGERS: Cincinnati concludes its BIG EAST regular-season action at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16, when it welcomes Rutgers to Fifth Third Arena. Sunday also marks senior day as five Bearcat seniors will suit up for the final time at home. The five Cincinnati seniors are Natalie Dossman, Jessica Elley, Jessie Nevitt, Lindsey Peterson, and Jami Torok.

LEADING THE PACK: Senior Jessie Nevitt heads into the final regular-season contest as the only player in the conference to rank in the Top 10 in hitting percentage, blocks, and kills in overall and conference-only contests. In overall contests, Nevitt ranks first in hitting percentage (.415), is tied for second in blocks (1.30), and eighth in kills (3.29). In conference-only matches, Nevitt sits in first in hitting percentage (.455), third in blocks (1.28), and seventh in kills (3.49).

SENIOR DAY: Sunday's match versus Rutgers marks the final home match for five Cincinnati volleyball players. Seniors Natalie Dossman, Jessica Elley, Jessie Nevitt, Lindsey Peterson, and Jamie Torok will play their final game in front of the Fifth Third Arena crowd and hope to end their careers at home with a monumental win. The 2003 Cincinnati team became the first squad in program history to go undefeated at home, recording a 13-0 record. The 2008 Bearcats are 13-0 at home this season and a win on Sunday would give the Bearcats a perfect home record (14-0) and the most home wins in a season in school history.

WINNING WAYS: With three-set sweeps over West Virginia and Pittsburgh this past weekend, Cincinnati moved to 11-2 in BIG EAST action. The 11 wins are the most BIG EAST wins for a CIncinnati team since the Bearcats joined the BIG EAST in 2005. Cincinnati won nine conference matches in 2005, 10 in 2006, and nine last season.

BEARCATS CLINCH SPOT IN BIG EAST TOURNEY: With a three-set win over Georgetown on Sunday, Nov. 2, UC clinched a spot in the BIG EAST Tournament. Cincinnati, St. John's, Louisville, Connecticut, and Notre Dame have all secured spots in the conference tournament.

HISTORY LESSON: Senior Jessie Nevitt solidified herself as the top blocker in the University of Cincinnati volleyball history during Cincinnati's wins over Syracuse and Marquette three weekends ago . Nevitt moved ahead of Stephanie Meinig (1997-00) on the career block assists chart and the total blocks chart and she currently owns 549 block assists and 623 total blocks. Nevitt recently eclipsed the 1,400 career kills plateau, making her just the second player in BIG EAST history to have over 1,400 kills and 600 total blocks in a career. The only other player to accomplish the feat was Notre Dame's Lauren Brewster (2002-05), who finished her career with 1,475 kills and 734 total blocks.

ABOUT RUTGERS: Rutgers enters the weekend with a 2-20 overall record and an 1-11 conference mark. The Scarlet Knights are led offensively by Caitlin Saxton's 2.77 kps, while Jamie Godfrey anchors the defense with 3.00 dps.

THE SERIES WITH THE SCARLET KNIGHTS: Cincinnati leads the all-time series 5-3 over Rutgers. The Bearcats are 3-0 against the Scarlet Knights since joining the BIG EAST in 2005.
